“The defensive reactions so many white people have when our racial worldviews, positions, or advantages are questioned or challenged.”- Robin DiAngelo

But in our reality, the Black reality, white fragility were those fake tears she shed when you spoke up for yourself, her trying to mask her true nature, and you left looking like the criminal

The anger you received when you stated the facts, him upset at the audacity you had to be unapologetically black, and you laughing at his visceral reaction

The screams you heard when you pointed out the privilege, their worldview confronted, and you left feeling like the bad guy

The situation you thought you had to explain when they saw your reality, his world turned upside down at your reality, and you left feeling like you need to be his guide

And the fear they felt when you confronted them with the truth about themselves, her fear that everyone can see her for what she is, and you finally reaching your breaking point leading you to hold nothing back

In reality, white fragility is normal, a consequence of racial oppression

But that doesn’t mean WE have to deal with it…..
